- Everything happens in your browser. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.
- Chrome or Edge on Windows work best. The "computer sound" option only appears when you share the entire screen or a tab.
- Mic and computer sound are mixed into one audio track. The output is an MP4 when the browser supports it, otherwise WebM.
- With a save folder set, each take is written into it as you record. Without one, the recording stays in memory and you download it at the end.
- Test 5 s records five seconds in memory, plays it back right here, and never saves it. Use it to check the mic before a long take.
- Quality sets the video bitrate and frame rate. Draft is fine for reviews, High for 60 fps demos. Audio is always 192 kbps AAC.
- Keyboard: Space starts or stops, P pauses, M mutes the mic, X drops a marker. Esc cancels the countdown.
- Markers are saved next to the recording as a same-name .txt (elapsed time, seconds, clock time), or offered as a download under the take when recording in memory. Use them to find flubs when editing.
